J1 in Jackson

Being a student that is about to have her first intercultural experience in the very heart of the mountains can prove to be a challenging mission to accomplish, especially when your main objective is to work and travel. Nothing from what you’ve previously been told matches the reality you meet when you come to Jackson, and not in a bad way. When the Tetons come in to your life, they give you a new perspective of what living in the mountains means.

Flying from Denver to Jackson Hole is not quite the most pleasant experience one can have. So, this makes your first encounter with the Rocky Mountains less enjoyable than one thinks his/her first contact with this famously beautiful, striking mountains would be.  Expectations fail to be met at first sight, the burning smell of the airport takes away your enthusiasm, leaving you with a bothering nausea.
